Isla Corazon (Heart Island)

Isla Corazon is a Mangrove Island that is a sanctuary to Frigates and many other birds, eels, boas and crabs.  It is in the shape of a heart.  Awwww...

First we need to get our life jackets on for the canoe ride over to the island...

...wondering how these would hold up to safety measures in the U.S.

Very peaceful ride through the mangroves.

We did not see any boa constrictors, but, if it is true that you have luck if a bird poops on you, then we were very lucky that day.  It is hard to see, but, there are hundreds of Frigates in these trees.  The red is the males all puffed up trying to attract a mate.

We were glad to get back on land and away from the birds over our heads.
