Alas (Wings) over Canoa with Alicia - NO WAIVERS NEEDED!

While in Canoa last time, we ran into Alicia, a parasailing pilot who invited us to fly with her.  Hard to resist - especially for Cassi who has been wanting to do this since she was 8!  After a little background check from our friend Henry, who said absolutely go with Alicia!  She has a 14 month old boy and has great motivation to stay alive....we were sold!

Hayes got to go first because he was the lightest.  Alicia was extremely efficient..

Buckle up.

Quick picture.

Attach the sail.

Catch the wind and up...

and up they went!

Landing was just as smooth.

Happy camper!

Cassi's turn....
Buckle up...

Quick picture.

Attach the sail.

Catch the wind.

and they are gone...

Once again, smooth landing.

My reward was to go to the quiet beach front in Canoa.

And go to a restaurant called Saboréame for a much recommended Encodado de Camorones.

It was like a coconut shrimp curry with fried plantains and rice.  So yummy!

and, got to watch the fisherman come in with their catches.

Good day for all!

And as I contemplated the day, I realized that my kids flew with Alicia and NO WAIVERS WERE NEEDED!  WOW!

  2. Hi JoJo! It is Carrie. I am so glad you were able to do this. We actually met Alicia in Cuenca one weekend pet her family. Her son is so cute. What a small world!

Looks like you are all having a great time. Can't wait to read more.
